EDITED Tuesday, Aug 19:
The complexity and dynamic nature of the environment has us in awe yet again! The sunflowers have already progressed to seed development.
What does this mean? The field now offers a different beauty – overflowing in many shades of green – attracting many birds to the ripening seeds.
We still plan to hold special access to the Sunflower Field this Thursday, Aug 21, 4-8pm, for you to enjoy the current views of the sunflowers. Join us for an unbelievable look at Mother Nature.

It’s time to come clean. Irvine has a lush field of sunflowers on property

that we don’t often share with the public. While visible from a distance, we keep the area fenced to restrict deer access. Now in full bloom, we can’t contain ourselves and want to provide unique special access! Join us for the afternoon/evening inside the gate for up-close views and

opps with the sunflowers.
Take a gentle hike to the Sunflower Meadow (about 1 mile) on Thursday, August 21st, between 4-8pm. There you’ll meet Executive Director, Brooks Paternotte, who can show you around. This supervised access is a rare opportunity, so don’t miss it!
NOTE: Trails and Outdoor Classroom open for exploration. No indoor access available from 5:00-8:00PM. Portable toilets can be found in two locations on property.
