Program Spotlight: Homemade Ginger Ale

October 20, 2015 - Programs

As a kid I did not like ginger ale.  As a kid, however, I never really tasted real golden ginger ale. The dry stuff lacked the zip and sweetness that I know now.

Ginger has long been known as a natural remedy.  It is great for everything from a stomachache to dizziness to a sore throat. Ginger ale is a sweet, bubbly way to harvest some of those medicinal properties.

Best of all, it’s easy to make and we’ll show you how! Come out to Irvine on November 14th for a fun time brewing up this golden treat. We’ll use all natural ingredients and you get to take home what you make. Then, you’ll be ready to make your own at home and impress your Thanksgiving guests with a little cure for indigestion!

Ginger is indigenous to South China and spread rapidly during the spice trade. Wild gingers (Asarum) found in North America are a completely different genus of plant!
