Jemicy’s Service Day – Irvine Nature Center

October 31, 2013 - Irvine Volunteers, Latest

Jemicy’s Service Day required a lot of hard work from the students! They dug a deeper hole for the Outdoor Classroom’s sandbox (so small children have an easier time getting in!), removed some features of the Outdoor Classroom that were no longer needed, set-up chairs for one of their teacher’s wedding, removed invasive Stilt Grass, and picked-up some very heavy, rain soaked straw bales!

The students had a lot of fun and were great sports about all the manual labor they had to do! Thank you, Jemicy students and chaperones – you all were extremely helpful and a joy to work with! Check out the pictures below to see their hard work in action!
