Another Fantastic Irvine Volunteer!

March 11, 2015 - Irvine Volunteers

By Courtney Sagal, Irvine’s Director of Community Engagement

Maybe I am a bit biased but I must say that Irvine volunteers are some of the most hardworking, thoughtful and dedicated individuals that I have ever met. Every day there are approximately 15-25 volunteers assisting with different programs, projects and tasks at Irvine. Each month, Irvine staff is able to nominate stellar volunteers, that go above and beyond the call of duty, to be named the volunteer of the month.

I am happy to announce that Kathleen Wade is Irvine’s new Volunteer of the Month for March. Kat is a Stevenson work study student, that started volunteering in the preschool in September 2013. She is enthusiastic and has a great rapport with the children. Sophie Gerard, along with other preschool staff, was very excited to nominate Kat for this award as “she is very hardworking, reliable and a great team player!”

Please join me in congratulating Kat for all of her hard work in the preschool. We are so lucky to work with such a talented and thoughtful individual.
