Counting to Spring

March 16, 2012 - Preschool Weekly

This Week’s Adventures: We counted our way through spring clues! We had fun using colorful eggs for sorting and matching. We made “stained glass” art of many spring clues, such as rain drops, birds, and butterflies. We counted buds on the trees, tiny wildflowers blooming, and hawks soaring over the meadow. We had a cork scavenger hunt and counted what we found in sets of 5’s and 10’s. We also measured natural objects – and each other!

Next’s Week’s Theme: Rabbits and Raindrops (focus on letter “Uu”)

Try this at Home: Count in sets! Gather up magnolia petals or clean out a junk drawer with buttons and coins. Make sets of 10 and set if you can count all the way to 100!
