Snowy owls nest in the Arctic tundra.
In the winter, snowy owls often migrate through Canada and northern Eurasia and sometimes visit Maryland. In 2014 during an unprecedented snowy owl irruption, Dave Brinker, Ecologist with Maryland’s Wildlife & Heritage Service, began a collaborative project known as Project SNOWStorm devoted to studying snowy owls. Learn about this exciting project as well as the status and life history of the snowy owl. Price includes food and drinks; adults only
