Without the support of our corporate partners like BG&E, Irvine couldn’t do the work we do every day. Generous, community-focused grants help Irvine bring environmental education to more children and families, develop new programs, and protect more land.
Students from Irvine’s Nature Preschool and Earth Friends Homeschool Program assisted Ms. Jenna with a monarch butterfly tagging and release outside the Exhibit Hall.
Eco-Explorers ended the year with many fun adventures! Whether it was exploring the woods, playing fun games, or animal encounters, Eco-Explorers ended the Spring sessions with loads of memories and fun! We look forward to next year’s sessions! Eco-Explorers had the opportunity to participate in Project Clean Stream, an initiative that helps keep trash out of our local streams and waterways. With gloves and a trash bag, students walked around their school properties picking up various kinds of trash. The Winter Eco-Event was full of fun activities for Eco students and families alike! Animal encounters included turtles, opossums, and bearded dragons. At Sinclair Lane, Eco-Explorers delve into the topic of renewable energy! Discussing the differences between renewable and non-renewable energy sources, students learn how these resources can be used, their efficiency, and environmental footprint.
