Woodland Garden

WoodlandGate

Irvine's beautiful Woodland Garden is a gorgeous, quiet respite all year round. But it's most amazing in the spring and summer when in full bloom. The strong latticed gate at the entrance welcomes visitors into a stunning garden full of Maryland's native plants.

To take a stroll through the garden, take the lower trail that begins at the far left of the Outdoor Classroom. You'll see the gates on your right.

Currently Blooming:

Redbud (Cercis canadensis) • Pinkshell azalea (Rhododendron vaseyi) • Yellow violets (Viola pubescens) • Common blue violet (Viola papilionnacea) Rue anemone (Anemonella thalictroides) • Great merrybells (Uvularia grandiflora) Foamflower (Tiarella cordifolia) Wild ginger (Asarum canadense) Allegheny spurge (Pachysandra procumbens) Mayapple (Podophyllum peltatum) Ostrich fern (Matteucia struthiopteris) Hay-scented fern (Dennstaedtia punctiloba) Northern maidenhair fern (Adiantum pedatum) Lady fern (Athyrium filix-femina)
