Irvine currently maintains a single loop trail, the White Oak Trail, which is just under one mile in length. The trail, which winds through roughly 30 acres of upland forest, includes twenty points of interest along the way. An interpretive guide is available explaining the significance of the various enumerated signs. Also along the trail is a section of trees planted from the seedlings of historic Maryland trees, including offspring of the famous Wye Oak. We ask that all trail users sign it at the Nature Center prior to walking the trail, and that you please wear the supplied identifying lanyards (for purposes of school security).
