Participants must be able to attend all classes to qualify. As part of the training program, there will be regularly assigned readings and written coursework. If circumstances prevent you from attending any part of the 24-hour training course, the completion of make-up assignments will be required for certification in addition to the regularly assigned homework.

The program fee is $60.00 and includes all workshop materials.

As part of the training, habitat stewards are asked to contribute 30 volunteer hours and assist with at least one certification of a backyard or schoolyard within a year of completing the training to retain their certification.
