A happy, hands-on celebration awaits your child during an Irvine Nature Birthday Party! We offer two fun-filled options to make your child’s birthday memorable:
On-Site Party: The program will last 2 hours. The leader will present 4-6 live animals, as well as other natural items (e.g. turtle shells, furs, snake skin), during an interactive one-hour presentation. Animals include a variety of reptiles, amphibians, birds and other animals. Children will have the opportunity to ask questions and touch many of the animals. A nature hike may also be incorporated during the one-hour presentation, weather permitting, which may include activities such as a log search, stream search or sweep netting. The classroom is reserved for one additional hour for your guests to use at the conclusion of the presentation.
Party fee is $200
Off-Site Party: The program will last 1 hour. The leader will arrive approximately 15 minutes prior to the party start time to set-up. The leader will present 4-6 live animals, as well as other natural items (e.g. turtle shells, furs, snake skin), during an interactive presentation. Animals include a variety of reptiles, amphibians, birds and other animals. Children will have the opportunity to ask questions and touch many of the animals.
Party fee is $125
Information & Policies:
- Age: The birthday child must be turning a minimum of 3 years old.
- Group Size: Maximum group size is 20 children, including siblings, for both ON- and OFF-Site parties. Due to facility limitations, the ON-Site party total attendance maximum, including adults, is 50.
- Pre-Payment: Pre-payment is required. When you schedule a party, a time slot is held for you. Payment must be received within 2 weeks in order to secure your party date, or the reservation will be cancelled. If you schedule a program within 2 weeks of the party date, pre-payment is due 5 days prior to the program.
- Rescheduling, Cancellation & Refund Information: If you must reschedule, we will do our best to find an alternative date. However, if rescheduling is not possible, the cancellation policy will apply. If you cancel for any reason, the following refund policy applies:

- Less than 14 days’ notice NO REFUND
For On-Site Parties:
- Set-up & Decorations: You may arrive up to one hour prior to the party start time to set-up. We provide tables and chairs. Tables measure 30” x 70”. Picnic tables are also available for use, weather permitting. You will need to provide your own table linens, dinnerware, and decorations. Banners and streamers are permitted if all tape and/or string are removed. Noisemakers, balloons, and/or piñatas are not permitted.
- Food may be brought or delivered: However, any food items you bring should not require refrigeration. Since we do not have the capacity to store cakes, ice cream or beverages, please bring a cooler if you require refrigeration. Children should wash hands after eating and before touching exhibits.
- Recycling & Trash: It is your responsibility to clean up before you leave the Center. Please dispose of any trash properly in the trashcans and recycle bins provided.
- Supervision: You are responsible for the discipline of all children, which may include removing individuals from activities if they are not behaving properly. Running and/or yelling are not appropriate behavior in the Nature Center. The exhibit hall is still open to the public during parties, therefore, all partygoers must be chaperoned while exploring the Nature Center. Additionally, please supervise children in the Nature Store.
- Parking: Please park in the lot in front of the Nature Center. If overflow parking is needed, you may park behind the building.
